The Allies did it to prevent more incidents of genocide and ethnic cleansing Germany perpetrated on its neighbors by invading them.
What the Allies did not do during the war is to pipe in electricity and water, ship food, medicine, medical care, energy, and humanitarian aid with thousands of convoys, meant to save lives of its enemies to make their lives bearable while they, the Nazis, were busy exterminating their neighbors.
Only the Israelis did that to save the lives of an enemy people sworn to destroy the very people who sustained them for decades by providing all these goods to them. Israel’s is a first in the history of warfare in the service of humanitarian aid, whereas the attacked - Israel, the only legitimate victim in this story - helped the attackers to survive.

What just happened in Suwayda is not a battle. It's ethnic cleansing. Besides, you’ve got it ass-upwards. The combined Arab armies intended to massacre the Jews and drive the rest out. They also asked the Palestinians to vacate the area, but only about 35% did so. According to Benny Morris, the vast majority left purely due to the ravages of war, as in the case of most civil wars. Which left 15% driven out by Israelis, mainly to secure battle lines, because in many cases they found themselves shot at from behind from villages they’d already passed.
650,000-700,000 Palestinians fled and were not allowed back in. However, in 1950 a compensation fund was set up to repay ALL Palestinian landowners at a rate of current value + 20%.
At the same time, 1 million Jews were expelled or fled under threat from North Africa and the Middle East. NO such compensation fund was ever set up for the property they lost.
