What you saw go down at the White House in the epic disaster formulated between our president and vice president was Act I of a play being written: a Work in Progress. It is the ART OF THE STEAL.
What you saw was another installment of THE APPRENTICE. The problem is, in spite of the public humiliation, browbeating, bullying, bitch-slapping, emasculating and shaming, The Apprentice was not fired. He is about to get hired by others!

The media didn’t get the clue. You reading this, regardless of what you think, didn’t get the clue. The media made sure you won’t get the clue. You’ll get partisanship instead.
The author of THE ART OF THE DEAL didn’t get the clue. His vice president, highly educated but clueless, didn’t get the clue.
Also, the president didn’t get to “the win” and didn’t get to achieve his promises made to the American people.
It is the same when Russia lost the war years ago (this written a year and a half ago) having failed to attain its military objectives. Oh, you haven’t heard about the million drones Ukraine is building that have a 1500 mile range and are now bombing Moscow and Russia’s other cities?

Even at the Oval Office during that awful, depressing, unforgivable moment, all the way from Obama through Biden through Trump, the United States had violated all the doctrines of what made us the global hegemon, what made us free, special, prosperous, to be feared and respected.
Yesterday we had not MADE AMERICA GREAT, but made America small.
Honesty is one characteristics that MADE AMERICA GREAT. What went down at the White House was dishonest to the core. That’s what ambushes are, are they not?
The argument at the Oval Office was over the president’s demand that Ukraine accept a ceasefire while not asking the same of Putin, offering no security guarantees on the ground, and then demanding of Ukraine to surrender its natural resources in perpetuity. This was negotiating not for Ukraine. Rather, for Russia. Zelenskyy said weeks before this meeting that he will not sign such a one-sided agreement. Would you recommend the USA sign a one-sided agreement that benefited only the other side? Forever?
The rest was composed of bullying and people talking over each other’s heads and Zelenskky trying, vainly, to make his case. The ones listening to what the other said was no one.

Vance was in on the set-up for THE ART OF THE DEAL. It was an ambush meant to derail The American Interest in behalf of Tuckerite propaganda and American isolationism - the withdrawal of the American hegemon from the world stage.
Vance is historically hostile to Ukraine because of the blowhard from whom he gets his cues, seen in this photo. Vance took the opportunity to pounce on the foreign leader, suggesting that he cannot even raise troops to fight. In other words, a former TV and blog talking head is writing America’s foreign policy that counters the Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Reagan Doctrines which, every one of them in a historical series, considered Russia, and not Europe, America’s enemy.
Vance, a rookie hillbilly who knows nothing about diplomacy used this dunderhead’s poison to inform America’s policy.
The problem with JD Vance’s - and Carlson’s - false narrative is this:

Americans are a fair and kind people and they saw what went down.
Regardless of Zelenskyy’s manpower needs, Vance’s narrative was meant to mislead the American people, put the Ukrainian in an untenable position needing to defend himself and his nation - and correct Vance’s hostile, Russified propaganda. Tell me, what else should he have done, put up with it?
Sit there like a kid sent to the corner for punishment?
Zelenskyy was a novice trusting us.
Beating up on the Ukrainian may be popular among provincial circles within the ignorati, especially among hillbillies, but it is neither diplomacy nor good policy.
Zelenskyy doesn’t understand English as well as you might think. Just a couple of hours after the “incident” at the Oval Office, Zelenskyy had to rely on an interpreter because he couldn’t quite understand the questions Bret Baier posed him. Once he understood, he immediately replied with intelligent answers. Misunderstandings, while reading the faces of his “enemies” (in this case the United States), were going to happen.
If this is how Zelenskyy was being treated by his friends, what can he expect of his enemies? Pencilneck Schiff and Russia Collusion Chapter II are on their way, bet on it.

What went down yesterday at the Oval Office shamed America far more than any Biden flub or Kamala cackle. Months of these two official’s idiocy was surpassed in three appalling minutes.

The behavior exhibited in the Oval Office is why the #nevertrump cabal came into existence and why they too became our problem - why we lost 2020 and came close to losing in 2024, garnering barely 49% of the popular vote.
The videos of that tragic meeting will be replayed in every future election cycle to show who was the adult in the room, questioning, rightly, if Republicans can ever be trusted again. Will we abuse power and the license the vote gave us that same way the previous administration abused its powers?
WE WILL ALL BE REMINDED FOR HISTORY TO COME, ABOUT THE ART OF THE DEAL. Europe, our largest trading partner, will not be talked down to. China, our second largest trading partner, will not be shamed.
No nation wants to be dressed down.
Vance cannot instruct Zelenskyy about diplomacy. He does not know the meaning of the word.
Donald Trump’s promise to the American People that he will end the war in a day is becoming a global joke. I think a promise of two days or a week would have sounded more optimistic.
Let’s hope saner heads at the White House will reverse what we saw.

India, Turkey and other large nations (or a major conglomerate like the EU which has a larger economy than ours) are ready to plunk down hard cash for the oil and rare earth minerals to be mined in Ukraine. Face it: The EU is pissed off at the US enough to do it. If not the EU, India. If not India, Turkey, which has a military power second only to that of the United States. And Turkey is ready to send troops into Ukraine. I wrote about Turkey in 2022:

It is not OK to humiliate a criminal mass murderer like Vladimir Putin privately...but it is OK to humiliate publicly, on international television, a national hero, a man who's been sleeping in a basement with fatigues on, fighting for the life of his nation nonstop for three solid years, like Volodymyr Zelenskyy? And a nation that lost a half million patriots?
Indeed, if Zelenskyy were to hold an election today he'd win by an unmitigated landslide - probably over 90%!
Zelenskyy won with 73% of the vote. Trump with 49.8%. I
In other words, Zelenskyy won by about 50% more votes than Trump.
Maybe should we ask who should be lecturing whom about democracy?

Zelenskyy thanked the United States a million times. For Vance that was not enough? We didn't support Ukraine as a charitable venture. We did it because if Russia blocked the seas we'd lose trillions in trade with Europe, with Africa, and Asia! And access to our military bases. We did it in our own national interest, based on diplomacy to which we are signatory - THE BUDAPEST MEMORANDUM. We are not talking about the half trillion deal Vance sabotaged with Tucker Carlson's rhetoric, but also trillions in trade to come!
